This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you know the feeling of being captivated by a book that took you on a wonderful adventure? That is the feeling I would like students to have while they continue on their journey as readers.

I teach in California to a group of students who are eager and very motivated to learn.

I think reading is the key to success. I want my students to be successful and providing books for them to practice their reading skills is one thing, but having books that will motivate them to be life long readers is even better.

My Project

Providing an ample selection of books in our classroom library would ensure that my students continue to be inspired to go on a wonderful adventure while reading. The 56 books that I have chosen will provide the needed reading material that my students need during independent practice as well as during story time. These stories are rich in detail and include words to enrich my students vocabulary. Best of all my students are invited to use their imaginations and feel as if they are a character in the story.
