My Project

Painting canvases will enhance students' fine motor skills as they carefully use brushes to create detailed designs, improving hand-eye coordination, dexterity, and precision. At the same time, collaborative aspects of the activity, such as sharing materials or working together on group projects, engage their gross motor skills through movement and teamwork. By blending creativity and coordination, this activity stimulates both cognitive and physical development, fostering critical thinking, spatial awareness, and the ability to work effectively with others. These skills are transferable, positively impacting their performance in academic tasks and social interactions.

Playing board games like Candy Land and engaging in STEM activities such as building the tallest tower are highly effective in fostering a strong classroom community in first grade- These activities promote teamwork, turn-taking, and positive social interactions, helping students develop essential skills such as communication, cooperation, and problem-solving-Candy Land teaches patience and resilience, as students learn to handle wins and losses gracefully, while the STEM tower-building activity encourages collaboration and creative thinking as students work together to achieve a common goal.

We will encourage creativity and self-expression by providing a platform for our students to convey their thoughts and emotions through art.

Promote teamwork and collaboration as students share materials, ideas, and support one another during the activity.

Strengthen students' fine and gross motor skills, enhancing their physical and cognitive abilities in a fun and engaging way.

My 1st Grade students are special because they bring diverse talents, perspectives, and energy into the classroom, creating a vibrant and dynamic learning environment. They approach challenges with resilience and enthusiasm, inspiring one another to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Above all, their kindness, creativity, and willingness to support one another reflect the values of love and community we aim to nurture through activities like this.
