My Students

Our students are hardworking, curious students. They are always asking why and looking for ways to creatively solve their problems. The students come from a low income neighborhood and all qualify for free lunch. The students take pride in their school and love to see clean and organized classrooms that they can fill with their outstanding work. The students are dedicated to the school and even after they graduate, they come back to participate in alumni events and show their continuing love of the school.

My Project

Our students would benefit from glasses to help them see clearly. Many students squint at the board, even when they are sitting in the first row. Or we see them squinting while trying to read. Sadly their family can't afford to take them and buy glasses. Students need to be able to see to learn and fully experience all that school has to offer them.

If you wear glasses yourself you know how big an impact seeing clearly will have on our students.

From social interactions, to improved grades, to being excited about learning, all will improve with the ability to see clearly.
