This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I am currently teaching at a school that was displaced for two years due to flooding in Louisiana. This was very difficult for the students because not only did they lose their safe learning environment, but many lost their homes as well.

My students have so much potential, and I strive to provide them with everything they need in order to succeed!

Through my experience, teaching is much easier and the students show more growth when necessary materials are available for use in our classroom. Unfortunately, I cannot always provide the necessary materials.

My Project

I have chosen a projector and screen for this project so that my students can utilize our classroom document camera more. My ideas for this project include using the projector and screen to display the daily homework answer key. This will allow my students to check and correct their homework from the previous night.

In addition to using this for displaying homework, I would like to use this projector to display my students' work.

This will be an easy way to have my students analyze and critique their classmates' work. This is an important task because it will allow my students to see work that is graded on all levels. Projecting graded work will allow them to see what is needed in order to get full credit on their constructed response question and word problems.
