My Project

My students need the opportunity to independently be able to do many different things in their lives. They unfortunately do not always get this chance. My students have difficulty expressing themselves when talking to other people. Most of the time they are not truly comfortable having conversations with each other or people in the school community.

With this project, I hope to give my students the ability to have meaningful conversations and become comfortable talking to a variety of different people in their community with a motivating activity that both engages and fosters independence.

Using the Zoom audio recorder, along with headphones and microphones, we will be able to record a class podcast. This will give them a chance to communicate in a fun way and hopefully encourage them to talk to people they may not normally talk with. I would like to be able to engage more students than I have had previously, and getting the extra equipment will truly be beneficial to my students.
