My Project
My students utilize online platforms daily to support their learning in ELA and Math. These platforms include, but are not limited to iReady, Zearn, SplashLearn, etc. In addition to assessments, my students use some of these platforms for diagnostic assessments three times a year. Having these headphones will allow the children to engage in their assessments/independent practice without the sound disruption of other students nearby. These headphones will also allow teachers to engage children in small group/individual instruction while others engage in independent practice without sound disruption.
In a world post-COVID, the use of technology in the classroom has increased significantly and we want to ensure that our students have the supplies needed to be successful.
The majority of my students qualify for free/reduced lunch. My school has a large population of students who reside in transitional housing. My students come to school willing to learn, but sometimes are unprepared due to lacking to proper supplies.
Young children are inquisitive and determined learners and require sturdy materials to use long-term.
