My Students

This will be my first year teaching in a Pre-K Center. I love working with younger children. Three-year-olds and Four-year-olds are very inquisitive, and they are not afraid to say what is on their minds.

I know that many of my students will be going to school for the first time.

I know that they will be inquisitive and eager to go to school, but also a little nervous. The Pre-K center that I will be starting in September will be a great place for my students. All the students will be the same age and they will see students who are like them, starting school for the very first time. They won't have to fear the "big kids" walking and looming over them as they walk the halls or running at full speed down the hall. This will be a great learning environment for these early learners. My goal is to make learning fun and exciting for my students.

My Project

My students need speakers so that they can listen to music and follow direction songs during Circle Time and Movement time. The speakers would also serve as a center that I am trying to build within my classroom. My students would be able to listen to stories that have been downloaded and follow along as the pages are turned and read to them. My students have shown me each year to be avid readers. This would provide another platform with which my students can learn to read and appreciate the value of a good book.

My students need an speakers to be able to listen to and sing along with songs during morning circle and other times of the day.

While I love to sing and have them follow me as we ding lullabies and familiar songs such as Mary had a Little Lamb or The Wheels on the Bus, sometimes having familiar voices that sing way better than me engages the children a whole lot more.

Please help my students stay actively engaged with songs to help them not only learn new skills but also to develop a love for learning as these speakers create a listening center in the classroom.
