My Project

I'm a fourth grade teacher that is looking to help my 25 students reach their full potential. I'm asking for a class set of headphones so that my students are able to use their electronic devices most effectively. I teach at a Title I School. Many of my families struggle with providing the required classroom materials for their students. I do not want to burden my families with another financial expense, but I know that these materials will significantly improve the learning opportunities for my students.

The goal for this project is to ensure that my students have the appropriate tools to enhance their educational experience.

We are fortunate enough to have 1:1 devices for our students at my school. However, many of the online resources require headphones. Additionally, my students have access to online tutoring that require the use of a headphone with microphone.

The majority of my students are also English Language Learners (ELLs). I believe that these materials will help my students feel more comfortable in their learning experience as they embrace the new language. Our devices offer support and give students the opportunity to translate information in their native language. Headphones with microphones can help my students translate information as necessary. Headphones can also help provide students with the accommodations that they need in order to be successful in fourth grade.

My students have the drive and motivation to succeed. I want to be able to to give them all of the tools that they need to soar in fourth grade. Headphones will greatly impact my students on this learning journey.
