My Project

I am accustomed to delivering lessons using the technology we have in our classroom, where we connect everything to our smart board. Recently, I delivered a lesson to a larger group of students and ran into what could have been a huge problem. The setup I was provided with was a projector incompatible with my current teacher's computer. As a result, quite a bit of time was devoted to searching for the right materials to deliver a much-needed lesson. If I can help, I would like that not to happen again.

It's my first year at my current school, and already, I enjoy teaching my small group of students and watching their learning moments come to life!

They come to school each day ready to learn, despite the cognitive and learning differences that they may encounter. To support their needs, I want to be prepared for all of the lessons that happen in all subjects outside of our classroom.

The projector will be used to deliver lessons on reading acquisition in which students will need to see mouth movements and produce letter sounds. Using the auditorium will require a bigger sound effect, so we will need Bluetooth wireless speakers for everyone to hear. The wireless pointer will reinforce certain words or images on slides to enhance focus for students. This will also be ideal for note-taking or highlighting important information for students.

Because I have a MacBook, I need a USB C adapter to make everything come together. In teaching, I have learned that it is also good practice to have cases for items in the event of accidents. I have added a few to protect that new resources.

Hopefully, you can help our larger classes hear a bit better when presenting lessons on reading!
