This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a jr. high that has varying socio economic areas. One thing that I love about teaching orchestra, is that it is very unifying. It doesn't matter your background, we come together and make great music and have fun making new friends.

My Project

Students love being able to find their outlet and what makes them excited about school. We are so excited to be able to have productions again at school. The sound system needs some updating. We are trying to get antennas to help the microphones work so that students can be heard during the productions.

The microphones keep cutting out and it makes the students discouraged that their hard work might not be heard during the show.

Help us share their voice and make the productions something they can be proud of and remember the rest of their lives.
