My Students

1st and 2nd graders are at the perfect age! They are inquisitive, eager, and enthusiastic learners. They experience so much growth, academically as well as emotionally. They love coming to school and learning new things.

So much time and learning have been lost in the past year.

My students live in a low socioeconomic urban area and do not have access to many opportunities. We are at a Title I school that serves one of the poorest areas in Los Angeles County. My students need a variety of experiences and information and I want to make sure I bring all of it into the classroom.

My Project

My students need earbuds! They will use them with school tablets as they navigate reading, math, and science apps.

We are back to school full time!

We have a lot to catch up on and learn. My students are technology experts and know how to use tablets better than me! This year I have both 1st graders and 2nd graders in my classroom. Therefore, they need to use technology to access reading books at their own levels. They will also use technology apps to reinforce what I am teaching. They will use earbuds with the technology while I work with the other grade.
