We have some of the most AMAZING students in our school! While many face some unbelievable challenges each and every day, my kids come to school ready to learn! My students are excited about math especially Station Fridays.
At a high needs school in Brooklyn, my students face an unimaginable range of challenges on a daily basis.
One thing that is constant in their life is school. Each day, these students come to class and try their best, despite any obstacles they may face. It is hard to get students excited about learning when they are faced with poverty and homelessness.
My Project
Having the Sony Sound Bar and individual headphones in our classroom gives the students an opportunity to hear educational materials from the back of the room. Our classhome desperately needs some new technology! Our current smartboard has speakers but does not projector the sound our the AC or outside noise. I talk louder than the speakers lol.
Elevating our sound technology will benefit our classhome tremendously!
By having improved speakers and headphones, we can use the computer to project learning tools so the kids can hear and the headphones will assist with individualized instruction. Students will also be able to utilize their own headphones for reteach, extra help and rewards.
