Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
Curious, enthusiastic, and creative; my students are eager to immerse themselves in any kind of challenge. The recent pandemic has presented many new challenges that students are unable to even attempt to overcome simply because they don't have the tools needed to do so. Now that NYC schools have closed due to the pandemic, all students will be learning remotely. A busy household can be a difficult place to find focus or even a quiet place to attend Google Meets for live instruction. Something as common as a pair of headphones can make a huge difference to my students' engagement and learning. Anything you can contribute can help to make a huge difference.
My Project
Virtual meetings have quickly been become a part or the "new normal". My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less distracted when they can participate in live instruction only when they can block out all of the distractions around them. Simply by using headphones can help to drown out all that is going on at home so they can then participate in a more meaningful and effective manner. The phrase "please mute yourself" can be a thing of the past. Please help my students get plugged in.
