My Students
My students are incredible. I could never describe them in one word. They are students that come from low-income families and have a wide range of special needs.
These students never let their disability stop them from reaching their goals.
They work hard, harder than an average student. We have a lot of fun together and they truly are "my kids." They make me want to be a better teacher every day and I am always looking for ways to help them.
My Project
Something that is new in our building is completing on-line activities on our laptops. These activities are geared to help my students become better readers and writers on their ability level. Because of this, all the lessons are on different levels. This means that we have 12 different lessons being administered at the same time and it can get confusing.
We need headphones to help us hear the lessons that are being taught.
Right now, the students need to put their ears up close to their laptops to hear what is being asked which causes them to miss a lot of lesson. With headphones, the students would be able to hear their lessons and be successful in completing them. Please help us be successful in completing our lessons by being able to lesson them.
