My Students

I am a co-teacher in an inclusion classroom of 16 very eager learners. They are "beautiful" students in every aspect of the word. Although their socio-economic backgrounds define them as high poverty, crime saddled urban setting, our students still love to read and learn. They love to question. They love to explore everything. The world, in my students' vision, is still a very kind, amusing, funny, and amazing world. Their smiles are contagious. Their hugs are given freely with no demand other than a bigger hug from their teachers!

"A great classroom is not just about learning, it is about creating memories." It is with this in mind that as their classroom teacher, I wish for a learning environment steeped in structure and organization yet, warm and engaging.

A learning environment that would give us more time to create lasting memories of great lessons and creative adventures!

My Project

Our students access a supplemental reading program via their chrome pads called LEXIA on a daily basis. Without efficient and good condition earphones, valuable learning time is lost trying to continuously monitor the volume level of their chrome pads. Not to mention, the ones we have right now, untangling the cords take much time that in the end, lost Lexia time for our students.

A quiet and effective way to access their Lexia time on their chrome pads means efficient and less troublesome headphones to put on.

Valuable time is better utilized by prompt and independent access to their chrome pads.
