Have you ever gone to another country where you don't speak that language? Have you ever heard people speaking another language and wished badly you knew what they were saying? All of my students are Second language learners and experience this feeling daily. I have students that have just come to America for the first time and are learning the ABC's. I also have students that have been in America but their families do not speak English.

My students work very hard each day to learn English and understand things that occur in the classroom. All the students come into my classroom at varying academic levels and need to be exposed to English as often as possible. Hearing books read to them in English and being able to following along can improve students English, reading abilities, and confidence. However, I currently do not have the capabilities to do this.

I am in need of books on tapes/cds for students to use at our listing centers. They can listen, follow along, and read the book with the tape/cd. My students enjoy this activity very much but cannot do it often because of the lack of books on tape I currently have. This project will greatly help my students by allowing them to listen and read English at the same time!
