Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students of the band are a bright, kind, and caring group of students. But living in the heart of Little Havana means that the necessary materials for creating music can be prohibitively expensive. Our marching band currently rehearses outside on a busy field, and since we are located in the path of the runway at Miami International Airport, our rehearsals are constantly interrupted by aircraft flying overhead. I can't give an entire field of students any feedback when the planes pass by!

This project will help supply the band with a PA Speaker needed to give students feedback during rehearsals, as well as some needed supplies for our percussion section!
