My Students

My students are terrific, lively, and one-of-a-kind. My Dolphins are hard workers and driven. No matter the day they will try to complete assignments and participate in class.

This school year we are starting a Garden Club and we can't wait to start.

My students started a little over the summer and are excited to keep it going during the school year.

Living in Little Haiti they have a variety of people to learn from in class and they always create bonds that I hope will last a lifetime. We will start the year as a small garden but end as a community garden.

My Project

My students have created their own Gardening Club. To start they have designated the areas for the garden, learned about the environment, and decided on the plants they will grow for their garden.

I couldn't be more proud of the motivation that these students have after learning about creating a food forest, using that knowledge to create and participate in growing their own garden.

This will build their skills for the future. I am just blessed to be a part of their journey.

The gardening tools like shovels, cultivators, and rakes will be used daily to remove weeds and aerate the soil for new plants. The compost bins will be used to further developments of the current compost and to track the soil week to week. All in all, we are excited to start and can't wait to have our tools.
