My Project

My students are learning Geometry in a tiny classroom that barely fits the amount of students in the class comfortably. Instead of individual desks, students are grouped four to a table and the functionality of learning depends on the least amount of movement. It is difficult to navigate to certain corners of the room to access outlets, power buttons, and switches, since there are student furniture located from wall to wall. It's a tight fit, to say the least.

An echo dot and smart outlet will allow us to set timers during activities, listen to ambient sounds while working on independent tasks, and control various equipment from anywhere in the classroom (fans, air purifiers, air conditioner, and lights).

The compasses will allow students to draw precise circles without frustration in our next unit on geometric constructions.

I hope that having these items will create an atmosphere that is more comfortable to learn in and calming for my students.
