Help Mrs. Valentine

I am a Kindergarten teacher for the Albany City School District. We are an urban school district in upstate New York. There are 18 students in my classroom. Half of my students are English language learners. Everyday my students work in a variety of literacy learning centers. Some students work independently while I work on literacy skills with individual and small groups of students. A CD/Cassette listening center would be of great value to our learning community. A CD/Cassette listening center will help to further expose my students to a variety of literature. It will also help my students increase their vocabulary and comprehension skills while also helping them practice their listening skills, which is part of the New York State reading standards. This CD/Cassette Listening Center will benefit many children for years to come. Your help is greatly appreciated.
