My Students

I am the science teacher for Pre-K through fifth grades in a Title I school where approximately 95% of the students receive free lunch. My students are full of energy and enjoy exploring the world around them!

The neighborhood contains one of New York City's largest public housing developments, and most of my students reside there.

Due to the geographic location of the neighborhood, there are few trains and bus routes servicing the community, so my students are very isolated from so much of what New York City has to offer.

My Project

My classroom currently has two computers but no access to a printer. As you can imagine, this seriously limits how my students can use these computers. The ability to print will allow my students to make better use them.

This printer will allow my students to research topics of interest on the Internet and print out that information to use in their writing and to share with others.

My students will also use this printer to create hard copies of charts, tables, and written reports that they have created for experiments done in the classroom. I will use this printer to print out worksheets and assessments for my students.

I am requesting a very efficient classroom printer to cover all of our printing needs this upcoming school year and hopefully into the next school year. Please help my young scientists get they printer they need to have a successful school year!
