My Students

We are a Title I New York City public school. Our school has a very diverse population. We have students that come from different parts of the world. Our school also includes English Language Learners, Special Education, and Gifted and Talented students

We love our school and we love our students.

My Project

I love my students! They are enthusiastic, positive, and energetic. I love having them for music class. In the past, we had a keyboard lab, where starting in kindergarten my awesome kiddos learned to play the piano. Due to Covid, there is no longer a music classroom and I get to come to visit each class. A la music on the cart... minus the cart since we have 4 floors...

I would love for all of my students to play pianos during music time!

These Casio mini pianos have smaller keys that are perfect for little fingers and they are light enough for me to carry one for each kid. And another bonus- they are easy to sanitize.

We have an amazing keyboard program that we work with. Students learn to play songs from different cultures, compose, explore and learn to read music.

We hope you can help our dream become a hands-on reality.
