Putting DSLR cameras in the hands of my students will make a significant impact on the creative education I provide in my classroom. My current photography program relies heavily on student smartphones, which limits our ability to dive into the intricacies of photography and unfortunately, often, smartphones distract my students from their opportunity to really explore photography. To elevate our program, I am seeking your help to fund DSLR cameras, SD cards and card readers for our middle School students through DonorsChoose.
With DSLR cameras, I will be able to teach the critical elements of photography, such as aperture and shutter speed, and the underlying science that makes photography an art form.
This will not only enhance their technical skills but also empower them to control their creative output and fully realize their artistic vision.
