My Students
Help my school get more DSLR cameras! It's a very diverse school that serves about 40% low income families.
This project will fund 12 DSLR cameras with cases, memory cards, and card readers.
Students will use these cameras for documentary photography of surrounding marine life for marine biology, observing light and optics in relation to camera shutter speed for physics, documenting other lab experiments, and learning professional photography skills through AP Photography class.
These will be useful in distance learning and will continue to be a valuable asset to our classrooms when we return to campus for years to come.
My Project
These cameras will allow more students to access and learn professional photography skills while also documenting life, environmental, and physical science labs.
Having more cameras will bring more equity and accessibility to our courses, where currently only a handful of students can make use of any camera equipment at a time.
This will also enrich our course offerings with learning opportunities that are not possible without more equipment for documentary photography and video clips, expanding our existing lab experiments and facilitating students ability to review real time lab results after labs have concluded.
