My Project

Most children like having photos taken and enjoy looking at photos of themselves and others. In our classroom, we hear how children talk about the use of cell phones and how they take selfies. But there is so much more to cameras and the history that encourages us to investigate more. A disposable camera allows us to explore quick-snap photos with the use of film and the understanding of how photos are developed. While I digital camera gives us an more advanced way of taking photos with a view screen that shows instinct photos we can see in the moment. A video camcorder introduces opportunities to explore recording projects, such as vlogging, commercials, movies, and live action. Finally, a tripod allow students to understand the different tools used in photography. The children’s curiosity about photos and cameras has inspired us to create a project to support getting the tools needed to investigate the study of cameras.
