My Students

I teach a class of 24 fantastic kindergartners. My students are eager for hands-on adventures and challenges in learning. Our school loves the arts, science, and reading, and we integrate art and technology with our academics. We are a great multicultural family that loves to have fun as we learn! Many of my students speak a language other than English at home. All students receive free breakfast daily, and over 32% receive free or reduced-price lunch.

This spring my students will focus on two Inquiry Based Research projects which will be presented to the class.

My Project

I have requested a camcorder so I can film my students as they make their Inquiry Based Research project presentations. These films will be shown to the parents and all visitors to my classroom during Open House.

We will also use the camcorder to film our students on our field trips so we can make a memory movie for all the students to view.

This will help them remember key moments during our field trip so they can discuss and write about what they did and saw. Integrating technology with literature is a great way to get my students excited about learning, reading, and writing.
