This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am truly inspired by the proactive and transparent advocacy demonstrated by our students. It is heartening to witness their unwavering commitment to voicing their needs and desires for our school. This sentiment is particularly noteworthy given that it extends to even our introverted students, demonstrating a remarkable level of inclusivity and engagement within the student body. Their initiative fills me with happiness, as it aligns perfectly with our aspirations for their educational experience. Despite the constraints of our limited resources, it is truly remarkable to witness how they are resourceful and innovative in utilizing the available means to create opportunities for themselves.

By making use of the materials at hand, my students are determined to create a green space that will be accessible and enjoyable for all.

They are keenly aware of the limited green areas on our campus, a result of its specific location, and are motivated by the desire to give back to the community, ensuring that everyone can partake in and benefit from this initiative. Materials requested include bamboo labels, peat pots, soil mix, storage box, garden tool sets, hanging planters, vegetable seed garden kits, portable greenhouse, gardening work gloves and aprons.
