Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are a self contained 2nd grade cross curricular behavior class. The students have severe behavioral issues. The first part of this project are for weighted stuffed animals and blankets to help calm our students after they become upset. With the issues that our students have it can take anywhere from two minutes to over an hour for a student to reset. We hope that with these tools they will be able to reset faster and get back to learning. The second part is for toys. The toys will be used in our choice time. Choice time is earned by good behavior. Thank you so much for your support.
