My Project

My students are wonderful and hardworking. With the demands of school, after-school activities, and the pressures of being a preteen, students may need a moment to breathe, relax, and meditate. Students need a space away from other students in the classroom where they can experience a warm and inviting environment to gather thoughts and build self-management skills by engaging in mindful activities. Options for student seating will give students the freedom to work on assignments independently.

A calming area will help support self-regulation while keeping students in the classroom if they need a break from instruction time or group activity.

The beanbag, floor cushions, and other supplies I am requesting will help support students' mental and emotional health and hopefully be able to build self-management skills and self-confidence.
