My Project

I wanted to take a moment to reach out and share with you an exciting opportunity to help fund a calming room at our school through DonorsChoose. A calming room is a specially designed space that provides a calming and therapeutic environment for students who may struggle with sensory processing issues, but it can also provide a calming environment for any student who needs it. Some of the materials we are requesting are floor tiles, sensory stones, timers and weighted lap pads.

The room is designed to offer a range of sensory experiences, from visual and auditory stimulation to tactile input, that can help students regulate their emotions and behavior.

Having a sensory room at our school would be a tremendous resource for students who may have sensory needs. It would provide a safe and comfortable space for them to calm down, regulate their emotions, and focus their attention. It would also help them develop coping skills that will help them throughout their lives.

I am reaching out to you today to ask if you would consider donating to our DonorsChoose project to help fund the creation of a sensory room at our school. Your contribution, no matter how small, can make a difference in the lives of our students. Thank you for your consideration and support.
