Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

These sensory items will help my students when they are in need of calming down to continue learning. Sometimes it just takes a minute and sometimes it takes several minutes with a calming buddy or a sensory toy that will help my students get back on track and ready to continue their day.

Sensory buddies are the friends that guide us back to success.

They help us gather our thoughts and allow us to have conversations to release the effects of everyday stresses that we face at school. Sometimes we just need a break to gather our thoughts. These plushies, sensory items, and games will be readily available whether it be a cold and rainy day or stressful and sunny day.
