My Project

Crystal singing bowls are special instruments made from quartz that create beautiful, calming sounds when played. They are excellent tools for helping students detach from their troubles a little bit and have fun creating peaceful music and listening to mesmerizing sounds. Playing the bowls goes hand in hand with developing meditation techniques, which would help students feel calmer and more centered throughout their day.

Some of the students in my classes are extremely overwhelmed with everything going on in their lives - school, work, taking care of younger siblings, etc.

Having a quiet spot and some calming instruments to play would drastically help lower their anxiety and bring them some cherished moments of serenity. This project would be a great way to bring together music, mindfulness, and a bit of science all together in one classroom.
