My Project

Everyone has a bad day or moment sometimes, young children are no different, they are learning how to process big emotions and regulate their feelings.

To help our little ones learn those new skills, we have an area designated in our room just for that purpose! Our Calming Corner just so happens to need a refresh, last year it was thoroughly loved and used.

The Calm corner can be used to process feelings or take a moment to relax. We need star curtains to create a fort feeling with twinkle lights. We already have a moon lamp to let others know the corner is occupied. Inside, sensory items and books will help with refocusing plus posters with visual strategies for regulation and naming our emotions. Students will have options to paint, squeeze a Squishmellow or read a story. Please help us create a place of calmness.
