This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Allowing our students to explore and regulate their sensory needs will allow them to be more successful in the classroom. Sometimes students with ADHD, Autism, and other disabilities, need sensory input throughout the day in order to keep them at baseline. Having sensory corners in each of our classrooms will allow them to have this opportunity wherever they go! Students will be supplied with a variety of tools, grounding techniques, and sensory exploration opportunities within a designated area in their classrooms. Our students in our life skills and self contained classrooms are thrilled to have this opportunity!
