Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Even though space in my classroom is limited, I want to strategically make changes in my room that will benefit my middle school students. I want to create a safe and relaxing calming corner in our classroom with floor pillows, area rug, timer and more. This calming corner will help me provide my hard working students with a safe location for them to destress after they have completed their daily tasks. I believe having this calming corner in my classroom will be an incentive to work hard, and also provide students with special needs a location in my classroom to effectively manage their stress levels. I believe all of these factors will help my students achieve their goals.
