My Project

Students across the country suffered from the distance of remote learning, and then were thrust back into the classroom with little to no warning. While it's been a couple of years, there's still sometimes an adjustment period of being back in-person, and lack of resources in supporting students who have different sensory needs. Students need to continuously feel safe at school, and by creating a calming corner space in my classroom, it will not only boost emotional regulation, but also encourage furthering academic instruction by making them feel safe, calm, and comfortable.
