Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students come to school eager to learn and are full of creativity. Our school is their second home since some spend the whole day on campus. The materials will allow them to have a space which they can access when feeling sad, happy, angry, tired, lonely or missing family.

By donating to our project, you will help to improve their social and emotional understanding, so they can learn to cope and regulate their emotions when faced with different types of stressors.

Our students are very young, ages 3-5 years old, and at times just dropping to the floor and crying gives them the outlet they need to feel better. The calming corner will give them a more appropriate area to self-regulate before joining the class.
