My Project

We are a small rural district with small class sizes. With a small district comes small budgets. Most of my regular classroom budget goes to the essentials and there is little left over for anything extra for the students. I would love to have a calming corner for my students who are sometimes overwhelmed by their emotions. Being a rural district, I am surprised by how many students, since COVID-19, have come back to school with strong emotional needs and even trauma. This calming corner will be a high-traffic area in my classroom and much needed by the littles in my little classroom.
