Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This rug will serve as a central gathering space for our daily activities, fostering a sense of community and belonging among my students.

The area rug will create a designated space for group discussions, storytelling, and collaborative learning.

It will provide a comfortable environment that encourages students to engage more actively with their peers and the curriculum. By establishing this cozy area, I aim to promote a positive classroom atmosphere where students feel safe to express their ideas and participate fully.

My primary goal is to enhance classroom engagement and collaboration through the addition of this rug. I envision it being used for daily morning meetings, reading circles, and small group activities. Additionally, I aim to instill a sense of ownership and pride in our learning environment, encouraging students to care for their space and each other.

My students come from diverse backgrounds, each bringing unique experiences and perspectives to our classroom. They are eager learners who thrive in a nurturing environment. Many face challenges outside of school, making it essential for us to cultivate a supportive and inclusive space where they can feel valued and empowered. This area rug will not only beautify our classroom but also symbolize the unity and strength of our community.
