Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting two Chromebooks to create a "Calming Corner" in our high-needs school. Many of our students face challenges in obtaining necessary learning materials, and these Chromebooks will ensure they can complete their work both in school and at home.

The Calming Corner will provide a dedicated space where students can work independently away from the whole group.

This quiet area will offer them a much-needed break from the bustling classroom environment, allowing them to focus on their assignments without distractions. The Chromebooks will enable them to engage with digital resources and educational tools, fostering a productive and serene learning experience.

This space will also address the social-emotional needs of our students. By having a calming area, students who may feel overwhelmed can take a moment to regroup, reducing stress and anxiety. The Chromebooks will support their learning continuity, ensuring they can stay on track with their studies while benefiting from a peaceful environment.

Ultimately, the Calming Corner, equipped with Chromebooks, will create a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere, promoting both academic success and emotional well-being. Thank you for considering our request and for your commitment to enhancing our students' educational experience.
