My Project

I have a bunch of amazing and incredible students that I am so fortunate to work with every day.

The products I selected for the calming area within the classroom will be utilize for self-management.

The use of floor rocking chair and sensory lighting provided by the tube lamp in the calming area in the classroom will create a safe place for my students to decompress and regain control of their emotions. Students will use items in the calming area such as liquid tiles, textured mats, tactile sensory wall and time schedule kit for self-regulation. Access to the sensory space I want to create for my students will help them self-regulate their emotions. The items listed such as alternative seating, sensory lighting, and sensory learning kits will create a safe place for them to learn self-management.
