My Project

I love the fact that my students are survivors. In their short lives, they have experienced the pandemic for more years than they are alive. My students live in an impoverished inner-city neighborhood and half of them have learning disabilities that require additional services from the school.

These items will give them a soft, quiet space to feel safe or to deal with their emotions in a soothing area.

A beanbag can take their anger or hold them as they rest. The noise machine will help them imagine being somewhere else.
