Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students want a way to express what they are feeling. A lot of the students have expressed interest in learning how to letter and write cursive. I have selected the basics for our students to learn and express what they are feeling. I want to make it fun, colorful and full of options. I have a group in mind but need the materials. I work with our students experiencing homelessness. Most have come from a different country and have expressed their stories and unique journey of making their way to California. It is quite extensive and brave. My students have great qualities and I want to have a corner/center where they can express feelings they felt as their journey continued through other countries until getting to the United States.
