Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I want to help my preschool students manage their emotions by giving them a safe space to self-regulate. My students would benefit from having a space where they can sit to process their emotions and decompress.

I would like our calming area to have items that can help my students with their emotional understanding.

Books, puppets, plush toys, emotional learning games, sensory toys, and breathing boards, among other socio-emotional supportive items would bring our calming area to life. Additionally, I would like to make this space cozy and welcoming by adding a teepee tent, pillows, and a lamp.
