Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A Calming Area or calm down area is a space and a place for students to calm-down in an environment that feels safe and cozy, the kind of place where a kid can just relax for a few minutes. The posters, diffuser, and other items listed can create just the peaceful atmosphere a student is looking for. Space in the classroom is limited, but this area will serve as an outlet for students to think creatively, meditate, and use various calming techniques and tools with the funded supplies.

Students will learn how to build coping skills and how to de-escalate in a welcoming classroom setting "calming corner".

Bring joy and wellness to the classroom by helping us support our project.
