My Project

At our school, we are committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment for all of our students to become successful life-long learners. At this time, many of our students are experiencing an increase in stress and anxiety that is keeping them from being successful learners. The Little Spot book series will allow our students to learn the skills necessary to help them improve their self-esteem, self-regulation, self-management, and teach them skills to becoming successful learners. The cushions will be used to create a quiet and safe space for our students to deescalate when they are experiencing negative emotions. The sensory and fidget toys will give our students access to items that they can use to help them calm down by serving as distractions from negative emotions and/or by teaching them a new skill to help them deescalate.
