The recent pandemic has a long-lasting effect on the social emotional health of my young students. Many students are having a difficult time coping emotionally.
A calming corner filled with objects that students can manipulate will help them self-regulate their emotions when they need to regain control.
The Teacher Pays Teachers cards will be used for purchasing mental health lessons. The rug, plushie toys, humidifier, and other materials I am requesting will allow for an area in my classroom that students will use to calm down, relax, enjoy, and feel better about themselves during this difficult time.
