Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are wonderful preschool students that are learning many pre-academic skills. A very important component in my classroom is Social Emotional Development.

My students are learning to communicate constructively, share, interact with others and process separation anxiety.

They need help using their words to communicate their emotions and to process these huge feelings. A calming corner will help them calm down by using pictures to express their feelings, stories to communicate their feelings and fidgets to relax and reflect.

Teaching them self-regulation skills and strategies is crucial to help them engage in learning activities and to enjoy their preschool experience.
