Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My ever so enthusiastic students are eager to learn on a daily basis. They are a wonderful group of 9 and 10 year olds who look forward to being with their friends and sharing new ideas. They come prepared and ready to learn daily.

Because they are children, it can be difficult to express their emotions properly sometimes.

By helping me give my students a calming area in the classroom, they will be able to take a moment for their themselves and reflect.

I am asking for different books, a rug, stuffed animals and other materials for them to be able to step away from our extremely busy schedule and simply breathe if they need to. This area will allow them to take a moment to themselves if they are experiencing anger, anxiety, or simply feel their ADHD has gotten the best of them.
