Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students have special needs, and with that many of my students need how to be explicitly taught how to manage their emotions. Having sensory items, coloring books, pillows to sit and relax, can lead to a calmer classroom.

At times, my students emotions can be overwhelming for them that they need a safe space to de-escalate.

I can help them learn how to regulate as it can be a difficult task.

Help me create a cool down area or a calming zone so I can teach my students how to regulate their emotions. Helping them learn to how to manage their emotions is essential as it will lead to them becoming adults who are then able to control their emotions in a meaningful manner.
